My Internet is slow
Let's walk through a few steps to troubleshoot what's happening and find a fix to your slow internet connection. Answer the questions below so we can help you get back to streaming!
The first thing we'll do is restart your Alaska Communications provided modem.
- Unplug the power cord and wait 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
- Let it warm up until the DSL light illuminates and becomes solid (not flashing). This can take up to 5 minutes.
Note: if the modem does not light up, check that the electrical outlet has power by plugging in something you know works. Also, if you have a separate modem and router, you'll need to reboot both.
