How do I configure my e-mail address in Mozilla Thunderbird?
These instructions are for Thunderbird 3. Older versions should be similar.
  1. Open Thunderbird. Click Tools and then click Account Settings.
  2. At the bottom left of the window click Account Actions, then select Add Mail Account.

  3. Enter your name, e-mail address and password. Click Continue.

  4. Click Stop, then click Manual Setup.

  5. Select Server Settings on the left. On the right enter your Incoming Server. Enter your full e-mail address for the User Name.

  6. Select Outgoing Server on the left. On the right select the server name and click Edit.

  7. Enter your Outgoing Server. Make sure "Use Name and Password" is not selected. Click OK. Click OK again to complete the setup.
