Do Not Call Policy

If you do not wish to receive any sales calls from Alaska Communications, all you need to do is ask us to place your telephone number on the “ACS Do Not Call" list.

ALASKA COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS GROUP, INC. (ACS) strives to meet high ethical standards in all its sales and marketing activities, and is committed to complying with all federal and state laws. We respect your privacy and honor your preferences as explained in this “ACS Do Not Call Policy.” A copy of this policy is available to any customer upon request.

No employee or agent of ACS is permitted to engage in telemarketing practices that violate the provisions of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, the Federal Communications Commission’s regulations, the Federal Trade Commission Telephone Sales Rules, or applicable state law. In performing its duties under these requirements, ACS provides a written copy of this “ACS Do Not Call Policy” to all its personnel or agents that make calls for telemarketing purposes on ACS’ behalf. In addition, we also provide training to all our personnel engaged in any aspect of telemarketing on our behalf, to ensure that they are well-informed and knowledgeable in regard to the existence, use and maintenance of the “ACS Do Not Call” list and all other relevant aspects of these laws and regulations.

ACS, its affiliates, and agents working on its behalf only make telemarketing (sales) calls between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. If you do not wish to receive any sales calls from ACS, all you need to do is ask us to place your telephone number on the “ACS Do Not Call" list. Upon receipt of your request, we will make a record in our files that you have contacted us, and we will add your telephone number to our “ACS Do Not Call” list. Please allow up to 30 days for your telephone number to be removed from any ACS telemarketing programs that may be currently underway.

  • To add your telephone number to our “ACS Do Not Call” list, you can make your request in writing to the address below or by calling 563-8000 from within Anchorage, or from outside Anchorage you may call our toll-free number at 1-800-808-8083. You will need to include your name, address and the telephone number you do not want us to call in your request. If you send your request by mail, address it to the following:

  • If you have multiple telephone numbers that you do not wish us to call, please tell us all the numbers that you want included on the “ACS Do Not Call” list.
  • You will remain on our "ACS Do Not Call" list for five years, unless you ask to be removed.
  • We will not share your Do Not Call information outside of ACS, its affiliates and agents who make telemarketing calls on our behalf.
  • If your telephone number ever changes, you must give us your new information for your "ACS Do Not Call" status to remain in effect.

Being on the “ACS Do Not Call" list means that you will not receive unsolicited sales calls from anyone representing ACS. We will still contact you by telephone, however, for non-solicitation and non-telemarketing purposes. These contacts may be for purposes such as notifying you or obtaining information regarding your account status, billing or other service-related matters, and to respond to any requests initiated by you.

Please note that the “ACS Do Not Call” list restricts unsolicited telemarketing contacts from ACS only, so you may continue to receive calls from other companies unless you also contact those other companies directly. As further protection from unwanted calls, you may always choose to add your number to the National Do Not Call List. You may do so by calling 1-888-382-1222, or submitting your telephone number online at the Federal Communications Commission’s website:www.donotcall.gov. In accordance with federal law, if you are a current customer of ACS, were formerly a customer within the past 18 months, or contacted us within the past three months to apply for or inquire about services or products ACS offers, we may still contact you by telephone for sales purposes even if your telephone number is listed on the National Do Not Call List. However, you can easily let us know if you do not wish to be called by us by following the steps above for adding your name to the “ACS Do Not Call” list. If you are not a current or former customer of ACS as described here, and your telephone number is listed on the National Do Not Call List, you will not receive unsolicited sales calls from anyone representing ACS.

If you think you have received an unsolicited sales call from ACS in violation of the standards set forth in this “ACS Do Not Call” policy, please contact ACS at 563-8000 from within Anchorage, call our toll-free number at 1-800-808-8083 from outside Anchorage, or send a letter to the following address:
