Our network is certified by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), meeting Carrier Ethernet 2.0 standards. These international standards are developed and certified by an independent 3rd party.
Alaska Communications was the first company in Alaska with MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification, along with Carrier Ethernet Certified Professionals in the state. In fact, Alaska Communications was second in the United States and third in the world to receive the certification, reflecting our commitment to standards and interoperability - the foundation of technology and information systems.
